Come to Alicante to Orchard Harvest in October 2015!

So you thought summer was over… well, it is. So what? That doesn’t mean there is no more fun to be had in Alicante this awesome autumn. So pack your bags and come to Alicante to Orchard Harvest in October 2015!

Well, the activity just might prove to be less… agricultural and more academical than you’d imagine, but we do promise you’ll enjoy both the Harvest conference scheduled for October 5th to 6th 2015 and the beautiful city.

Here’s the event first of all: the fourth edition of the Harvest conference will bring together guests and representatives of the Orchard CMS Community in an event that hopes to help everybody exchange valuable experience and knowledge.

And before you go along imagining people talking about garden tools and agriculture and picking apples and prunes, we’ll unravel the mystery and tell you that Orchard is actually an open source free CMS (which means Content Management System), developed on a platform called ASP.NET MVC. Basically Orchards seeks to make programming easier by making all components be easily replaceable and the content built just as easily, from blocks that can be constructed and replaced quickly. The modules of the CMS apply to web pages, blogs, photos and other items.

The whole community has rendez-vous in the sunny city of Alicante this October. Here, they can meet and listen to Sebastien Ros and N. Taylor Mullen, both developers and excellent speakers.

If you are coming to the conference, you’ll probably land at the airport in town, so we suggest taking a moment to book an Alicante airport transfer for your easy, quick and accessible transportation during your stay. Not to mention there is a lot to see in Alicante, so you can also opt for an Alicante city tour to make your experience even more worthwhile!
